Integrated Payments Service Limited (IPSL) formation can be traced back to 2012. Established by the Kenya Bankers Association (KBA) under the National Payment System (NPS) Act, IPSL was formed to address the challenge of integrating retail payments in the country.

Kenya School of Monetary Studies

Kenya School of Monetary Studies (KSMS) was established on April 15, 1997 to provide capacity building programmes for the financial sector in Kenya and the region. KSMS is registered as a corporate body limited by guarantee under the Companies Act, Chapter 486 of the Laws of Kenya with Central Bank of Kenya as its principal shareholder (99%) and Treasury as the minority shareholder (1%). The School is also registered as a business under the Business Names Act, Chapter 489 as well as with Ministry of Education as a tertiary education institution offering Diploma and Certificate courses.

Higher Education Loans Board

The history of the Higher Education Loans Board dates back to 1952 when the then colonial government awarded loans under the then Higher Education Loans Fund [HELF] to Kenyans pursuing university education in universities outside East Africa notably Britain, the USA, the former USSR, India and South Africa. The Higher Education Loans Board was later established by an Act of Parliament in 1995. Since the HELB works to provide affordable loans, bursaries and scholarships to Kenyans pursuing higher education in Kenya and the East African Community countries.
