KENYAN FIRMS TOP THE LIST OF INTERNATIONAL AWARDS TO BE HELD IN KENYA IN AUGUST.
Kenyan firms are among the top firms set to be honoured in the 7th Pacesetters International Awards, an annual industry leadership recognition program organized by the Pacesetters Awards Organizing Committee in collaboration with Jubilant Stewards of Africa (JSA) and United SMEs Association of Kenya among other partners, that will be held in August 2024 in Nairobi. Some notable firms are Afia drink manufacturer Kevian Kenya Ltd, leading long-distance bus and shuttle company Ena Coach, micro lender Mwananchi Credit Limited, digital lender Little Pesa, City Walk Ltd, Seneka Security, SGA Security, Brighter Monday, Healing Tree Eye and Laser Hospital, Username Investments, Robisearch Limited and Westlands Laser Eye Hospital. Apart from Kenyan firms, there are companies from other companies such as; Insight Security Tanzania, Presscane Limited Malawi, Digit Vehicle Tracking Limited Uganda, Amenfiman Rural Bank and Admission World Consult Limited Ghana.
The award brings together firms from various countries across the globe to celebrate top industry leaders for their innovation, quality products, and service delivery, job creation, exemplary leadership, growing the economy, and transforming the society. The winners in various categories are carefully selected through a competitive and thorough process involving a public vote and a panel of judges.
Speaking during the press briefing in Nairobi for the 7th Pacesetter International Awards 2024, Jared Oundo, Executive Director of Jubilant Stewards of Africa said, “In light of current economic uncertainties and global disruptions, governments must enact measures that promote stability, encourage entrepreneurship, and foster sustainable development. Pacesetters International Awards has previously been held; in Serena Hotel in Dar es Salaam Tanzania for 2023 Continental Chapter in December, 2023 Eastern Africa Chapter at Weston Hotel Nairobi, 2022 East African in Serena Kampala Uganda, 2022 & 2021 at Panari Hotel in Nairobi and 2020 at Emara Ole Sereni Hotel in Nairobi despite Covid 19 pandemic.
In the previous years some of the institutions that partnered with the Jubilant Stewards of Africa to ensure the success of the awards included telecommunication giant Safaricom Plc, regional solar and electric vehicle dealer Go Electric Limited, Robisearch Limited, United SMES Association of Kenya, Service Cops Ltd Uganda, and Nation Media Group.

Previous awardees of the award include; Kombani Homes, AMG Realtors, Inter-Consult Ltd Tanzania, Comfort Homes, online news site Tuko News Media, and Boredo Supplies Limited. More companies that have received the prestigious awards include; Zanzibar Insurance Corporation, Raphael Logistics Tanzania, and Press Cane Limited Malawi among others.
Upon receiving the news that their company has been nominated for Pacesetter’s Professional Company of the Year award, Richard Mogire, CEO of Ena Coach highlighted, “Being nominated for the Pacesetters International Award is a significant milestone for Ena Coach. According to the sources privy to the 2024 7th Pacesetters International Awards nominees list, the new entrants are tier-one banks including; Cooperative Bank, Equity Bank, and Kingdom Bank. Other companies in this category are; Watu Credit, Muthokinju Paints & Cement, East African Cables, Southfront Properties Limited and Dama Mobile Spares.
